International Friendship Soccer Tournament & Beer Party 2016

On July 9 (Sat), the 15th Annual International Friendship Soccer Tournament took place at the North Campus Athletic Field with cooperation of Kyoto University Football Club.
It was raining in the morning, but luckily the rain stopped and we were able to carry out all the games. This year, over 200 players (12 teams in total) from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, France, Kenya, etc., participated and enjoyed soccer.
First, we had group league, and the winner of each group proceeded to the final tournament.　In the final tournament, Kyoto Viet FC won the semifinal and final to take home the friendship cup. After the tournament, we had a beer party on the second floor of North Campus Co-op. Participants were having fun interacting with other teams’ players while enjoying beer and food.
Thank you everyone for participating. We’d like to also thank Kyoto University Football Club, referees, and tutors for helping us.

The 14th Annual International Friendship Soccer Tournament took place on July 9 at North Campus Athletic Field. More than 200 people including players and supporters from 10 teams participated in this year’s event.
After the group leaguu and final tournament, Rigakubu FC won the championship for the fourth time. Participants enjoyed interacting with each other through soccer regardless of language barriers.
After the tournament, playes, supporters, staff members, and alumni all got together for a BBQ Party and enjoyed cross-cultural communication.
We appreciate cooperation of Kyoto University Football Club, and all supporters and tutors.

International Friendship Soccer Tournament and BBQ party was held on Saturday, June 7 in the North campus. It was raining during the preparation in the morning but it stopped in the afternoon when we started the games. Over 200 players and 60 supporters joined the games and enjoyed it a lot. Rigakubu FC won the championship again. Congratulations! Our thanks to the tournament referees, to all the staff and students who helped prepare for the event.

The International Friendship Soccer Tournament and BBQ party was successfully held in fine weather on Saturday, May 25 in the North campus. 172 players and 43 supporters join the games and they enjoyed playing soccer on the new artificial turf field. Rigakubu FC won the championship again. Congratulations! Our thanks to the tournament referees, to all the staff and students who helped prepare for the event.

International Friendship Soccer and BBQ Party 2012

June 2, 2012 (Sat) / Faculty of Agriculture Athletic Field
The 11th International Friendship Cup Soccer Tournament of the North Campus and BBQ party were successfully held on Saturday, June 2 at the athletic field of faculty of agriculture. The number of participants was more than 200 (175 players, 40 supporters). The 12 team players were divided by 4 groups and competed with the enthusiasm and excitement. A group: Arab team, UmeharaFC,Chikyukankyogakusha, B group: Team Hakko, Team International, Team Administrators,C: Team Vietnam, Garuda Indonesia, Jambalaya, D: Naoshi Stream, Rigagubu FC, Korean Team. The top teams of each group were Umehara FC, Team Hakko, Team Vietnam and Rigakubu FC. They competed in the final tournament. Rigakubu FC won the champion title after PK with Team Vietnam. Congratulations! There were more than 150 people attended the BBQ party after the soccer game. Our thanks to all the people who helped prepare for this event, to the students who attended.

The 10th anniversary International Friendship Soccer Tournament and BBQ party was successfully held in fine weather on Saturday, June 4. The number of participants was about 140, and nine teams competed. The Arab Football Team won the new trophy after prevailing in the Group League and final tournament. Congratulations! Our thanks to the tournament referees, to all the professors and office personnel who helped prepare for the event, to the students of the Soccer Club and student staff who helped run it, to the athletes, and to everyone who came out to cheer.

June 26, 2010 (Sat) / Faculty of Agriculture Athletic Field
116 soccer lovers from many countries gathered in the rain for our tournament on June 26. 8 teams competed with the enthusiasm and excitement of the World Cup. The victors were the Fermentation Team; Second Place was Team Vietnam, and Third Places were Team Inner Mongolia and Team China. Everybody was covered with mud, and the fun everyone had playing together without national borders will surely become a happy memory of their student days in Kyoto University. Fot the Japanese students too. I think it was a good chance for true internatioanl exchange. Next year will be our tenth tournament. Look forward to it!
